This position is situated in the Pennino Building in Fairfax, Virginia, with the potential for weekly assignments at one of the Department of Family Services’ Regional offices in South County (Alexandria), Reston, or Annandale, Virginia.

Executes all responsibilities associated with the assessment of families’ eligibility for the Child Care Assistance and Referral (CCAR) Program. Conducts interviews with potential families to ascertain their childcare requirements. As mandated by established policies and procedures, documentary verification is requested. Evaluates and responds to all referrals from other units.

Assesses the necessity for additional social services and provides referrals when necessary. Offers referral information and childcare resources to community members who are in quest of childcare. Under the supervision of a Child Care Specialist III, responsibilities are executed.

Duties:
